Scholarships
For the past 6 years R&W has held an
annual scholarship competition for high school seniors
throughout Hampton Roads who are preparing to continue their education at a two or four year institution
or vocational/trade school. A total of four scholarships in the amount of
$2,500 each are
awarded. Two are awarded within the Rose & Womble family, and two to the community at-large.
"The scholarship really meant a lot to me. I applied for numerous scholarships but
was not eligible in many cases because I did not meet the requirements for financial aid. The
$1,000 I was awarded was a big help and was used toward books and tuition. It allowed me to
not have to get a job, but to focus all of my attention on school."

2009 recipient
"Thank you so much for selecting me for the scholarship given out by your foundation. The
scholarship will greatly help my family pay for the burden of college tuition. Words cannot
express how thankful I am."
